February Meeting Notes

Hi Everyone.....

The most important info is that class is this Wednesday, March 23. Susan will be taking over the morning class and I will be at the evening one. The reason for the class to be moved up one week is that Sam and I will be in New York next week. It will be fun, mom and daughter bonding.

Classes are going well. I think. I will try and have enough  patterns for everyone. It seems my copies are based on the numbers, but I still run out.

Small Projects: It seems that everyone is having a great time with the small projects. I know I am enjoying them.
Civil War Sampler: pictures were handed out.
KT Sampler: there is no more fabric, picture was handed out and final instructions will be handed out in April.
Blocks: they still scare me
Mystery: ?

See you soon.

Small Project Class

SMALL PROJECT CLASS
This class is based on small projects.
  1. lap quilts
  2. pillows
  3. embroidery
  4. tote bags
  5. pincushions, journal covers, potholders
  6. table runners
  7. wall hangings
  8. very easy large quilts
One project will last  maybe 3-4 months.  During that time from the intro of a new project to completing the project other additional projects will be given. You can pick and work on the ones you like. The goal of this class is to try new things, work on something small that will get done fast and have somethings for Christmas gifts or the holidays.

Note: For these projects, you will use your own fabric.

Because of time: I may have samples of everything and then again I may not.

If interested in this class, please sign up in the "Post Comment Area".
Any questions, please post in the Post Comment Area, also.

Mystery Quilt Class

This class is a mystery. The number of projects will be based on the number of clues the mystery has.
Ex. If each mystery has 3 clues, we will complete 4 projects this year.
If it has 10 clues, we will only do 1. So, I guess that will be part of the mystery.

How will  this work?: The first month, I will hand out what fabric amounts you will need, cutting instructions and the first clue. Class time: I will  show you the steps to that clue. After that, each month you will receive your new instructions and answer any questions you may have from the previous clues. The last one will have the finished project. That is when, I will reveal the finished quilt/lap/tabletopper.

I will try and keep the patterns easy, small, but yet challenging.

Note: For this class, you will supply your own fabric.
Fabric requirements are listed below for the first quilt.

Please sign up for this class in the "Post Comment Area".
Also, if you have any questions, please place them in the posted area.
